RACE
You will be running a distance of 5k (3.1 miles) with fun firefighter themed obstacles along the way!
The obstacles include:

Carrying hose up stairs
-
Carrying simulated fire gear
-
Crawling through a search tunnel simulating a smoke condition
-
Dragging bodies simulating victims
...and much more!
There will be men and women's heats and prizes!
Firefighter test takers get $25 tickets! Please bring proof of filing at registration. Filing for the current FDNY Firefighter exam will be on site!

The festival is completely free to the public and includes fire safety and firefighter themed programming:

*Try out some firefighter drills like operating a live hose line and trying out firefighter bunker gear!

*Learn about fire safety by crawling through a mock apartment with a simulated fire!

The New Motor
Benefiting:
Proceeds will be used to benefit The United Women Firefighters training program and other programming.
The Vulcan Society membership consists of active and retired Firefighters of all ranks, EMS workers below the rank of Lieutenant and Civilian Employees of the FDNY.
